LBN Inspirational Woman of the Year 2009

Annabel Williams Contemporary Photographic Training celebrates Catherine Connor winning Cumbria Inspirational Women of the Year 2009.  Annabel Williams Contemporary Photographic Training was launched in 1998 by Annabel Williams and Catherine Connor with a mission to reinvent the photographic industry.  Catherine continues to run this business with Annabel together changing the way people take pictures and helping develop others to make a success of their photography and business.

100 businesses attended and celebrated the first Lakeland Businesswomen’s Network Awards on 20th November 2009. The LBN is one of the regions most recognised organisations due to the calibre of its members and the sheer quality of all that they stand for. The awards were sponsored by several local and national organisations such as Barclays Bank, Lakeland Radio, Business Link and many more through to Dodd & Co who sponsored the Inspirational Woman of the Year Award…of which Catherine Connor won!

Catherine Connor is quoted “This is the best acknowledgement I could receive, which I will treasure and value. It’s a great accolade for myself as an inspiring women but I would also give credit to all those that I work alongside each day – a gang of inspiring people’.

The LBN was established several years ago by self employed women. The aim was to give women running businesses on their own the opportunity to link up with others in a similar situation, to support each other, to network or simply to socialise.  Membership has grown significantly and now consists of some of the leading businesswomen in Cumbria.
