How do I photograph my yoga teacher?

by Annabel in Ask Annabel on 31 January 2013 11:14

Q.

My yoga teacher asked whether I could take some pictures of her for her website. But when I did she didn't like the way some of her poses looked. I have offered to take some more but am scared she's not going to like these either. Please help!

Should I use a prime lens or a zoom lens?

by Annabel in Ask Annabel on 28 October 2012 15:58

Q.

You always seem to use your trusty 70-200mm f2.8 lens, and I love mine too, but people on forums keep saying that I should use primes because "that is what the pro's use".

What’s the difference between F22 and F5.6?

by Annabel in Ask Annabel on 06 February 2012 22:24

Q.

One thing I just can't understand - how can everything be in focus (in landscape photography) at say F16 - F22 but yet recently when I was shooting a landscape in low light someone told me to go to way lower F/nr than F16 as "there's no need to be up there, you need more light now" - I thought the lower the F/nr the less detail in the photo would be in focus so why would I want that for a landscape shot?
